Almost everything in life is about priorities, choosing this over that. And a whole lot of your home business success is based off of the way you prioritize your life and your business. Do you choose to work for an extra hour or do you spend time watching your favorite show? Do you spend your lunch hour gossiping with co-workers or calling prospects? These are just a couple of the choices that you’ll have to make when going about building your business from home.

One of the biggest differences between working for yourself and having a regular job is that when you have a job the priorities are already set for you. Your boss tells you what you need to get done and when it needs to be done. However, when you work from home you can tend to feel a little bit lost. There isn’t going to be someone looking over your shoulder all the time making sure you get all of your work done and while that can be much more relaxing it can also mean getting a whole lot less accomplished. It can be so easy to go out to dinner with friends when there is still work to be done.

So if you’re going to become rich and successful in a home based business you’re going to have to learn how to prioritize your life in a way that allows you to relax but still get the work done.

It might be a good idea to write out a list for the month of everything you need and want to get done. Make a rule that once you’ve accomplished several things you’re able to relax and have fun but not until then. When you stay on top of yourself and make sure your priorities are in order you’ll be amazed at how much faster your success will come.

Prioritize your life and make your business and your success as close to the top as possible! There will always be time to goof off later.
